Tropical Oceanfront Wedding in Maui: Karen & Jason
from the photographer... "This beautiful Maui wedding took place at the Olowalu Plantation House in Maui, Hawaii. The bride and groom chose Hawaii for their destination wedding because the bride's brother had always wanted to visit Hawaii but passed away before he was able to. To honor the bride's brother they held their wedding on his birthday in Hawaii. The couple decided on soft neutral colors for their decor but wanted to bring in elements of rustic, vintage, and glam as well. The bride loves Anthropologie and when she discovered BHLDN it became the theme and go to for everything; bridesmaids dresses, bridal jewelry, and decor. The bride's favorite wedding designer is Monique Lhuillier and it was a dream come true that one of her designs ended up being a perfect fit. The dress is as light as a feather with a good balance and mixture of tulle and chantilly lace. The veil and tulle covered belt is also from Monique Lhuiller. The veil has matching appliqués of the same chantilly lace as the dress. With the elements of sand, water, sun, and grass Karen decided on badgley mischka jeweled sandals. The couple has two sons together and the oldest always asks why Mom's last name is different. They decided instead of just introducing the bride and groom that they would be introduced as a family with their boys Ethan, 6, and Mason, 1."
