As we all gathered in the bridal suite, glasses clinked and giggles filled the room as Kaleigh's closest friends and family prepared for the day. Somewhere in the room, Kaleigh's mom proudly whispered to another in the room about her daughter's heart. About how her courage and strength to do what she does everyday. Being a nurse is a daunting and thankless task. Caring for sick children requires emotional strength like none other. It takes a heart and soul made of pure gold. A heart and soul that fell in love with Ryan- and if that doesn't speak on the kind of man he is to have her fall in love with him, then nothing will. As a member of the military, Ryan demonstrates his own set of selflessness. Caring for others first. Putting himself in harms way. His friendships with his groomsmen was full of life, laughter, and silliness. (It is safe to say Jordon might have had his fill of laughter while photographing them). Within a bridal party, Jordon and I can always tell a bit about the character of our couples. It goes without saying that from their bridal parties, Kaleigh and Ryan are easygoing, laid back, passionate, considerate, and selfless. They were meant for each other. Nothing could take away from the love that they share with one another or the day that had been so meticulously planned- down to every last detail. And oh my word- were there details. From the individulaized globe and country centerpieces to the custom (and hand-addressed) travel tag favors, Kaleigh was the epitome of a detail oriented #shaunalynnebride, so when she handed Jordon and myself gifts at her wedding, I can't even begin to express how I felt. Surprised? Yes and no. Though totally taken aback by Kaleigh's thoughtfulness, it wasn't at all surprised by her kindness, as there genuinely wasn't a detail that went untouched by her hand on her wedding day. (I mean our camera lens coffee mugs are sitting on our desks as I write this at this very moment, so to say that we love them is an understatement). But all of this brings us back to Kaleigh's heart for others. Especially her heart for Ryan.
