'There's something about a red plaid pattern that does wonders for creating a cozy atmosphere. When Lindsay Varner and I decided to design a shoot together, we wanted to show off the pattern and highlight its charm. Lindsay was the first to suggest The Farm on the Ridge as our venue for the shoot. The gorgeous red barn sits on 117 acres, so there were loads of lovely spots to take photos.  One of the locations I was eager to incorporate was this vast field of snap peas, still white before ripening. This beautiful area was the backdrop for our sweetheart & cake table, and many of the portraits shots. This muted, open field highlights the bride in the bold, plaid pattern. The farm table includes a rustic wooden centerpiece that accentuates the barn.  The centerpiece hung over a plaid runner,  silver deer, and wooden votives. Our place settings, provided by All Occasion Rentals, added a touch of elegance to the rustic feel of the table decor. The wood printed menus, by Locust house were set on the beautiful, red and black, plaid napkins.  The table design took my breath away! I couldn't help but see wedding guests gathering around the table being fed "family style" from the caterer.  From the plaid pillows to the pine greens on the sweetheart table, Lindsay and I wanted this design to accentuate the  land surrounding it.'
