from the stylist and florist… “A romantic elopement with a dramatic backdrop was the theme of this stylized shoot out in the Little Sahara Sand Dunes of Utah. Our models, married in real life, wanted to participate in a fun and adventurous shoot to relive the love and excitement they felt on their own wedding day. Soft romantic colors for florals, a dramatic triangle altar arch, and a romantic picnic for two were all major design aspects in this gorgeous shoot designed by Brandon Christensen and Melanie Farmer of M+B Events and photographed by Mariah Garrett of The High Pines Photography. After dressing for the event, then hiking the sandy dunes to our ceremony location for their wedding vows, our couple Mia and Zach Whitney cuddled up in the sand for a romantic picnic for two. Next, they celebrated with a stunning cake in soft purples and golds, and gorgeous crystal details by Kristen Batt of My Sweet Fancy Cakes. The couple then changed into their regular clothes for some fun and festive shots playing in the sand, before shooting their “we eloped” signage announcement by our friend Shea Anderson at Hand Lettered by Shea, and celebrating with a burst of bubbly. Special details such as our picnic basket, small table setting, and framed photo of our bride’s real-life parents on their wedding day added to the charm of this gorgeous stylized shoot in the incredible dunes of Nephi, Utah.”
