from the photographer... "Although Makayla and Doug are young, they have been together for over 7 years. They are the dearest souls. When taking their photos, Doug would often hold aside thorny branches for Makayla, and at one point, even took a 15 minute walk back to their car to grab her a different pair of shoes. While we were waiting for Doug to return, I told Makayla that I could really see how much love they had for each other, and that they really care for and want the best for each other. She agreed, saying that they have had some family unrest, but that this element of care was so important to her, and woven throughout their relationship. I loved being able to spend this beautiful fall afternoon with them – they are incredible people."
