We see so many beautiful military homecomings full of hugs and tears, but we don’t ever hear about the build up. There’s an entire emotional cycle leading up to a deployment. If you know someone in the military, you know nothing is for certain. “Babe, we’re leaving on the 10th…. just kidding… now the 12th… now the 3rd…” Military families have to emotionally prep for a variable, ever-changing date! This can take an serious emotional toll on a couple, but Jaclyn and Justin remained SO positive throughout the process! Guys – they literally said goodbye 3 times that day after his departure pushed back 2-3 hours each time! Can you imagine saying “goodbye for the next 6-ish but maybe longer months” THREE times in one day? She’s so tough!
