Elegance and sophistication paired with lush greens and creamy florals against a brick backdrop in the heart of the warehouse district in downtown Lawrence, Kansas created the most perfect and serene setting for Michaela and Brock to gather with their loved ones. The day began with a First Look with the bride and groom in the very spot where they met for the first time- at Brock’s college fraternity home at Kansas University. The venue, Cider Gallery, was practically made for this couple. The acoustic sounds of the string quartet filled the air in the courtyard as they said their vows. Michaela carried a bouquet, designed and crafted by her own father, which he presented to her as a surprise during their father-daughter First Look on the morning of the wedding.

The bridesmaids wore mixed shades of grays and the groomsmen looked classic and dapper in their suspenders and bow ties. Of course, Michaela and Brock’s fur baby joined in on the wedding fun too! The couple chose to do a unity ceremony mixing their two favorite wines together. Guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the courtyard and then circled around the bride and groom, sparklers in hand, for an outdoor first dance. As guests entered the reception, they were seated at beautifully set round tables and served a family style dinner from Merchants Pub and Plate, a favorite for any Lawrence local! A huge floral wall served as the backdrop for the cake and then became the photo booth later in the night. To top off the night, friends and family were sent to the favor table before they left, to package up a to-go box filled with goodies, included fresh chocolate chip cookies!
