Traditional Wedding at The Parador: Whitney & Andrew
from the bride, Whitney... "When Andrew and I began our wedding planning, we started off by trying to find the perfect venue. We must have visited a dozen different venues, but coincidentally we ended up choosing the very first one we saw! As most of our family and friends are in Houston, we wanted the wedding to be in the city but without the city feel. We wanted a venue that would allow us to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city to have a romantic and simple wedding with traditional touches, but room to celebrate and dance with all of our friends and family."
"The Parador, a State Historical Landmark in Houston's Museum District, was a great choice for us to use as a getaway villa with its large reception area, amazing dome shape, and beautiful garden to give you the impression that you were a thousand miles away from the city. The wonderful wood floors and accents, numerous large arched windows and doors, and decorative ceremony backdrop tastefully matched exactly what we were looking for!"
"One memory we will never forget was during Andrew's brother's speech - TJ had told us to stop and literally take the time to look at every little detail of the wedding that we had planned - from the flowers in the centerpieces, the cake, even to the ceiling. We must have looked like kids in a candy store - but we will still never forget looking up at that incredible domed ceiling in that moment with all of our loved ones!"
